A BRIEF HISTORY

Humble Beginnings

In 2011, a small group of Hewlett-Packard employees embarked on an initiative to establish a cooperative that would help fellow employees address their financial needs, particularly during emergencies. Establishing a cooperative was no easy task especially since the proponents had to work on the initiative during their spare time while fulfilling their regular responsibilities. Nevertheless, their determination and shared vision kept the dream alive.

Three years later, on August 27, 2014, that dream became a reality. With 20 founding members and an initial capitalization of ₱60,000, the HPP Employees Credit Cooperative was born.
